The lawsuit was filed by by Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich in May 2020 after an article by the Associated Press in 2018 revealed that Google services on Android devices and iPhones store your location data no matter what privacy setting you have chosen. “Even top-level Google employees do not understand under what conditions Google collects location data," claimed the Attorney General.
